A custom luxury home builder in Northern California. We built them a website that feels as considered as the homes they build.

Where They Started
Imperial Development builds one-of-a-kind custom estates across Northern California. For more than 15 years the business grew the way great builders do: by word of mouth. Past homeowners and people in the community pointed new families to Josh.
But when those referrals went looking online, there was nothing to find. Nothing showed the quality of the work or how a build with Imperial actually runs. The domain they wanted, imperialquality.com, sat parked and listed for sale.
The Vision
Imperial doesn’t build spec homes. Every project starts with a family’s vision. The website needed to feel the same way: quiet, confident, and built around the work. Not a sales pitch. An invitation.
Full-bleed photography of finished estates, with room to breathe.
What the owners wanted, what made it complex, and what Imperial created.
A builder video, so clients meet Josh before the first meeting.
A consultation-first “Start Your Build” path that fits a by-appointment builder.
What We Built
Imperial came to us for a website. To fill it with their own work, we also became their video and photo team, documented their builds from framing to finish, and now look after the site every month. Here is everything we built together.
1Website
We planned the site the way Imperial plans a build: foundation first. StoryBrand messaging, a calm luxury palette, and a story page for every home: what the family wanted, what made it complex, and what Imperial created. Then we launched it fast and secure on imperialquality.com.

Home page · The first impression is the work itself.

On a phone · The same story, built for a thumb.

Home story · What they wanted, what made it complex, what we created.

Our Homes · A portfolio that grows with every build.

Our Process · The build, explained before the first meeting.
2Builder video
Families building a custom estate want to know who is building it. We filmed Josh on his job sites and in finished homes and cut a builder film for the site, so clients meet the builder and hear how he works before they ever call.

3Photography
A luxury builder can't use stock photos. We photographed the Janeway family at home for the website, and we shoot Imperial's finished homes room by room, so every story page is filled with their own work.
4Construction content
The best proof a builder has is a home going up. We documented 5570 Janine Way from framing to finish with drone and ground photography on every visit, so the site can walk families through all 12 months of a build.
5Website care
After launch, we kept going. Imperial is on our monthly website care plan: updates, backups, security checks and speed monitoring, with a plain-English report every month and a step-by-step guide so their team can add new homes on their own.
The Outcome
Today, Imperial has a home online that matches the homes they build. Before a family ever picks up the phone, they can walk through finished estates, meet Josh on video, and understand exactly how a build with Imperial works.
Referrals still start the conversation. Now the website finishes it. When someone hears Josh’s name from a neighbor or a past client, the next thing they do is look him up, and they find a builder who looks the part: finished estates, real homeowner stories, and a clear path from consultation to design to build.
That changes the first meeting. Families show up having already seen the work and heard from the people who live in it. Less time goes to proving Imperial can do it, and more goes to what they want to build.
And it keeps getting stronger. Every new home gets its own story page, so the portfolio grows with each build. The Big Sky Estate is already on the site, in progress, before the last wall is finished.
We love the site and are proud that it is a true reflection of our values in business and in life! Appreciate all you and your team have put into it.Becky Janeway · Imperial Development
