Case Study · Video + Commercials
A private Christian university in Redding, California, recruiting two very different students at once. We made the commercials that spoke to each of them.

Where They Started
A high school senior choosing where to spend the next four years is asking about community, faith and what campus life will actually feel like.
A working adult thinking about finishing a degree is asking something else entirely: Can I fit this around my job and my family, and can I afford it?
Simpson needed to reach both, with messages clear enough to land in thirty seconds or less.
The Vision
Instead of a campus tour set to music, every spot is carried by a person on camera talking straight to the viewer, with the key facts on screen and a clear next step at the end.
Auditions to find on-camera talent who felt like real Simpson students and staff.
Life, faith and future for new students. Flexible, convenient and affordable for adults.
Real numbers like financial aid and time to degree, right in the frame.
Every spot closes with where to go next: apply, or get started.
What We Built
One campaign for students choosing a campus, and one for adults finishing a degree. Five finished spots in all, each built around a single idea.
1New-student campaign
For high school seniors choosing a campus, we built a 30-second commercial around the three things they are really deciding on: the life they will have, the faith they will grow in, and the future they are working toward. Real students carry each beat, filmed across campus from the library to the chapel lawn, with the facts on screen.
2Adult-learner campaign
Working adults are asking a different question: can I fit this into my life? We answered it with a 30-second commercial and three 15-second spots, one per reason, so each message can run on its own: flexible, convenient and affordable.

3Production
We ran the whole production in-house. Auditions to find on-camera talent who felt like real Simpson students and staff, location scouting and scripts, a 4K shoot across campus, motion graphics that put the numbers in the frame, and a full sound mix. Alongside the commercials we cut a long-form admissions video and solo interviews with students and faculty.
The Outcome
Simpson came away with a set of commercials for each audience it recruits. A student weighing campus life sees one story. A working parent weighing a degree sees another, and hears the answer to their exact question.
Because every spot is built around one idea, admissions can match the message to the moment: the full commercial where there is room to tell the story, and the 15-second spots where attention is short.
And because the proof lives on screen, from financial aid to time to degree, prospective students get the facts they need to take the next step: apply, or get started.
